PORTALS · MEDIAROADMAP

Agency assets that arrive on the right product.

The Media Portal is on our roadmap. It is planned to give agencies and photo studios a brief tied to your SKUs, an upload that attaches every file to the right product, versioned review with comments on the asset, and an approval step that ingests the approved file automatically.

01 · Today

Great photos. Wrong file names. Lost approvals.

01

Briefs without data.

The shot list is a PDF. It does not know which SKUs exist or which assets are missing.

02

Uploads without context.

Files land on FTP. Someone matches file names to products by hand.

03

Reviews by email.

Feedback spread across threads. Which version was approved? Nobody is sure.

04

Approval without handover.

The final file is copied into the DAM manually — or not at all.

02 · Who it is for

Planned for both sides of the shoot.

Agencies and photo studios

See what to produce for which product, upload against the product record and follow feedback in one place — without access to your DAM or PIM.

Brand and marketing teams

Brief once, review on the asset itself, approve with one decision that is recorded.

Product data and DAM owners

Receive approved assets already linked to the right SKU, with version history.

03 · The planned journey

From shot list to catalog, in one loop.

Six steps between a brief and an approved asset — how they look today and how the Media Portal is planned to handle them.

  1. 01 · BRIEF

Receive the brief: which products need which assets, in which specification.

    Before

Brief as email or PDF, with no link to live product data.

    With PIM Gate

Assignments tied to the actual product records, with asset specifications to download.

    ROADMAP
  2. 02 · UPLOAD

Deliver hi-res images, video and design files.

    Before

FTP upload; file names must be matched to products by hand.

    With PIM Gate

Product-linked upload, drag and drop, several files at once, with progress.

    ROADMAP
  3. 03 · REVIEW

The brand team reviews; the agency responds.

    Before

Email threads, confused versions, no record of decisions.

    With PIM Gate

Comments pinned on the asset, clear approve / request-changes actions.

    ROADMAP
  4. 04 · REVISE

Correct and upload a revised version.

    Before

The new file overwrites the old one; history is lost.

    With PIM Gate

Versioned uploads; previous versions retained on a timeline.

    ROADMAP
  5. 05 · APPROVE

Final approval — the asset enters the catalog.

    Before

Approval lost in email; someone copies the file into the DAM.

    With PIM Gate

One approval, and the asset is ingested automatically into DAM / PIM, linked to the SKU.

    ROADMAP
  6. 06 · DELIVER

The agency confirms delivery for its billing milestone.

    Before

Asking the account manager for a delivery confirmation.

    With PIM Gate

A delivery dashboard per brief and an export of approved deliverables.

    ROADMAP

04 · The planned workflow

Every version kept. One approval. No copy-paste into the DAM.

The approval is designed to be the handover: once the brand team approves, the asset is planned to move into your DAM or PIM, already attached to its product and with its full version history.

05 · Planned capabilities

What the Media Portal is planned to do.

ROADMAP

Briefs tied to SKUs

Planned: create a brief from a catalog selection, with the required asset types per product and specifications to download.

ROADMAP

Product-linked upload

Planned: agencies upload against the product record, so no file ever has to be matched by name.

ROADMAP

Versioned review

Planned: every upload becomes a new version; earlier versions stay on the timeline.

ROADMAP

Inline comments

Planned: comments pinned to a point on the image, answered by the agency in the same place.

ROADMAP

Approve → auto-ingest

Planned: approval hands the asset to your DAM or PIM, linked to its SKU, and records the decision in the audit log.

ROADMAP

Delivery dashboard

Planned: status per brief for brand team and agency, and an export of approved deliverables for handover and billing.

Also on the roadmap for the platform: AI-assisted asset tagging.

06 · Available on the platform

The outbound side is already there.

While the inbound Media Portal is on the roadmap, the assets you already have are distributed through PIM Gate today: product and media viewers and asset metadata extraction are live in the platform, and customers find images and data sheets in the Customer Portal. Collections, share links and bulk download with audit trail follow in 2026.
