The mapping is maintained in PIM Gate, not in a spreadsheet. Your PIM keeps its own data model; PIM Gate translates it into ETIM on the way out.

Products are assigned to ETIM classes by rules — per category, product type or attribute — with manual overrides where needed.

Each ETIM feature is mapped to a source attribute, a fixed value or a derivation rule.

Units are converted to ETIM units; free text is mapped to ETIM value codes through maintained value tables.

Completeness is checked per class and per wholesaler profile before any file leaves the gate.

ETIM defines a unit per numeric feature and a closed list of values for many alphanumeric ones. PIM Gate converts units, splits ranges into minimum and maximum, and maps your wording to ETIM value codes through value tables you maintain once. Features that don't apply to a product are marked as not applicable instead of being left empty.

One classification. A delivery profile per recipient.
A channel profile captures what one wholesaler or trade platform expects: ETIM version, required features, languages, price and packaging data, file format, naming and schedule. PIM Gate builds each delivery from the same classified data — you maintain one mapping, not one per customer.

Validation before sending.
Files are checked against the BMEcat schema and the recipient's profile. Invalid products are listed with the reason; nothing incomplete is sent silently.

Receiving ETIM data instead of sending it?
Wholesalers use the same mechanism in reverse. Suppliers upload BMEcat or XLSX through the Supplier Portal; PIM Gate validates classes, features and units on submission, returns field-level errors and only accepts what meets your requirements.

- No. If your PIM already holds ETIM data, PIM Gate uses it. If not, the mapping from your own attributes to ETIM lives in PIM Gate, and your PIM keeps its own data model.
- ETIM 9.0 and ETIM 10.0. Mappings are stored per version, so you can deliver different versions to different recipients during a transition.
- BMEcat 2005 with ETIM features (full catalog and update transactions), ETIM xChange, XLSX and CSV, plus API and feed access for recipients that pull.
- Yes. Delta deliveries contain only products changed since the last delivery to that recipient. Every delivery is versioned and comparable.
